På vegne af Mærsk søger vi en Payroll Specialist til deres hovedkontor i København. Du bliver en del af et erfarent payroll-team, der understøtter flere af Mærsks danske enheder.
Payroll-teamet består af otte Payroll Specialister og én Reimbursement Specialist. Rollen har et stærkt fokus på systemopsætning og integration, datakvalitet, processtyring og løbende optimering. Stillingen er placeret i et controller- og procesorienteret miljø med fokus på dataintegritet, skalerbare løsninger og effektive lønprocesser – frem for daglig medarbejdersupport.
Samarbejde, nysgerrighed, proaktivitet og ansvarlighed er centrale værdier i teamet. Du vil arbejde tæt sammen med interessenter på tværs af Payroll, HR, Finance, IT og eksterne leverandører for at sikre stabile og compliant lønprocesser.
Dine primære ansvarsområder
Som Payroll Specialist får du en central rolle i at sikre dataintegritet og drive forbedringer på tværs af lønprocesser og systemlandskab. Dine opgaver vil bl.a. være:
· Håndtere systemopsætning og integrationer mellem Workday og lønleverandører ved at definere forretnings- og lønkrav, afklare databehov og samarbejde tæt med tekniske og integrationsansvarlige om at identificere og løse problemstillinger
· Vedligeholde og videreudvikle konfigurationen i Workday HR og Time & Attendance med fokus på korrekt dataflow, compliance og alignment med lønkrav
· Drive optimering og automatisering af processer, herunder undersøge anvendelse af AI og lignende teknologier
· Bidrage til løndriften og understøtte forskellige lønrelaterede opgaver efter behov
· Balancere daglige driftsopgaver (sager, mails, lønkørsler) med langsigtede forbedringsinitiativer og globale projekter
· Samarbejde på tværs af payroll-teams, enheder og funktioner for at sikre ensartede og skalerbare processer
· Agere dansk Payroll-repræsentant i det regionale forum for Payroll Data Representatives og bidrage til globale datainitiativer, samt sikre korrekt rapportering i globale systemer
Faglige kompetencer og erfaring
Den ideelle kandidat trives med at arbejde med systemer, data og processer og motiveres af at identificere mønstre og finde smartere måder at arbejde på.
Vi forventer, at du har:
· 4–5+ års erfaring inden for payroll eller payroll-relateret systemarbejde, gerne fra en større international organisation
· En solid forståelse for lønprocesser, også hvis din primære rolle ikke har været operationel løn
· Erfaring med systemopsætning og integrationer på tværs af HR-, Time & Attendance- og lønsystemer (fx Workday, lønsystemer eller middleware)
· En analytisk og struktureret tilgang med fokus på datakvalitet, root cause-analyse og holdbare løsninger
· Evne til at omsætte forretnings- og lønkrav til systemopsætninger og sikre alignment på tværs af interessenter
· Erfaring med samarbejde på tværs af enheder, lande eller funktioner samt med interne og eksterne stakeholders
· En stærk ansvarsfølelse og evne til at levere inden for aftalte deadlines
· Evne til at navigere i forandringer og kompleksitet med en løsningsorienteret tilgang
· Kendskab til danske overenskomster er en fordel, men ikke et krav

On behalf of Mærsk, we are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their headquarters team in Copenhagen. You will become part of a highly experienced payroll team supporting several of Mærsk’s Danish entities.
The payroll team consists of eight Payroll Specialists and one Reimbursement Specialist. This role has a strong focus on system set-up and integration, data quality, process governance and continuous improvement. The role sits in a controller- and process-oriented environment, focusing on data integrity, scalable solutions, and efficient payroll operations rather than direct day-to-day employee support.
Collaboration, curiosity, proactivity and accountability are key values in the team, and you will work closely with stakeholders across Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure stable and compliant payroll processes.
Your key responsibilities
As Payroll Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring data integrity and driving improvements across payroll processes and system landscapes. Your primary responsibilities include:
· Managing system set-ups and integrations between Workday and payroll vendors by defining business and payroll requirements, clarifying data needs, and collaborating closely with the technical and integration teams to investigate and resolve issues.
· Maintaining and further developing the Workday HR and Time & Attendance system configurations, ensuring accurate data flow, compliance, and alignment with payroll requirements.
· Driving process optimization and automation initiatives, including exploring the use of AI tools and similar technologies
· Contributing to payroll operations and supporting various payroll-related tasks as needed.
· Collaborating closely across payroll teams, entities, and related functions to ensure aligned, standardized, and scalable processes
· Acting as the Danish Payroll representative in the Regional Payroll Data Representatives forum, contributing to global data initiatives and ensuring that our payroll data is reported accurately in global reporting tools.
Professional Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate enjoys working with systems, data, and processes — identifying patterns and finding smarter ways of working.
We expect you to bring:
· 4–5+ years of experience within payroll or payroll-related system work, preferably in a large, international organization
· A solid understanding of payroll processes; direct payroll operational experience is not mandatory, but experience in a classic Payroll Specialist role is considered an advantage.
· Hands-on experience working with system configuration and integrations across HR, Time & Attendance, and Payroll systems (e.g. Workday, payroll systems, middleware).
· An analytical and structured mindset, with a natural focus on data quality, root cause analysis, and sustainable solutions.
· The ability to translate business and payroll requirements into system set-ups and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
· Proven experience working across entities, countries or functions, collaborating closely with HR, Finance, IT, other internal stakeholders and external vendors.
· A strong sense of ownership, delivering agreed outcomes within defined timelines.
· The ability to navigate change and ambiguity, with a solution-oriented mindset, while maintaining overview and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of Danish collective bargaining agreements is an advantage but not required.
